A boom puts your tips at fixed spacing and fixed height, which is what makes broadcast application repeatable. If you need an even rate across a measured area, a boom is how you get it.

Kings boom sprayers pair our skid and trailer units with boom assemblies in a range of widths, plus boomless nozzle options where terrain or obstacles rule out a rigid boom.

Boom or boomless

A boom gives better pattern uniformity and lower drift, and it is the right answer where the ground is open and even. Boomless gives coverage without a structure to damage, which suits roadsides, fence lines, pasture and rough terrain. Many operators carry both.

Calibration

Boom output depends on tip size, pressure and ground speed. Change any one and your rate changes. Catch test each tip at working pressure at the start of the season and replace any flowing more than 10 percent above rating.

Height and spacing

Pattern overlap is set by nozzle spacing and boom height together. Running the boom too low leaves stripes between tips. Too high increases drift.
