A skid sprayer is a complete spray system on a frame you can lift in and out. Tank, pump, engine, reel and plumbing arrive assembled and ready to mount, so one vehicle can carry a sprayer today and something else tomorrow.
Kings skid sprayers are built from 25 to 600 gallons with diaphragm, roller and plunger pumps, manual and electric reels, and gas engine, PTO or 12V electric drive. They mount in pickup beds, on trailers, in UTV cargo boxes and on boats.
Why a skid instead of a permanent install
Flexibility. A skid moves between vehicles, comes out for the off season and can be sold separately from the truck. The only real reason to choose a permanent installation is a plumbing layout a skid cannot accommodate.
Specifying a skid
Start with tank size, driven by your route and your vehicle payload. Then pump type: diaphragm for chemical tolerance and dry run resistance, roller for higher flow at lower cost, plunger for high pressure tree work. Then reel and hose length to match your longest run from the truck.
Mounting safely
Secure the skid at all four corners. A loaded skid that shifts under braking is a serious hazard. Tie down points are provided on every frame.
